As a Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality steel products. Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the steel manufacturing process, including blast furnace, rolling mills, and other production units.
- Monitor production parameters to ensure quality and efficiency targets are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes and resolve technical issues.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address production bottlenecks and defects.
- Maintain records and reports related to production, quality, and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in steel manufacturing or metallurgy.
- Strong understanding of steelmaking processes, including blast furnace operations, rolling, and heat treatment.
- Knowledge of quality control, process optimization, and safety protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree: 5+ years in steel manufacturing or metallurgical roles.
- Master's degree: 3+ years in steel manufacturing or metallurgical roles.
- Doctorate: 1+ years in steel manufacturing or metallurgical roles.
