Description
Mahindra & Mahindra is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Production Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the manufacturing process, optimizing production efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the production team to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Develop and implement production schedules and plans to optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure adherence to quality control standards and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability.
- Manage inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing waste.
- Train and develop production staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare regular reports on production performance for senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in a production management role in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with production planning software and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role.
- Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of improving production efficiency and quality.
