Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain network solutions to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
  • Conduct regular network performance analysis and capacity planning to anticipate and address network growth requirements.
  • Implement and manage network security protocols and practices to safeguard Liberty Global's data and assets.
  • Participate in technology evaluations and make recommendations for network hardware and software upgrades.
  • Collaborate with vendors and partners to ensure the procurement and deployment of reliable network equipment.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior network engineers.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience as a network engineer or similar role, with a minimum of [X] years in a senior or lead capacity.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
  • Experience with network virtualization technologies such as SDN and NFV.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience
  • 3 years of relevant experience in network engineering.
  • Experience in a global telecommunications or broadband company is a plus.
Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of networking technologies and protocols.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in network security practices.
  • Familiarity with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate across departments.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
