Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Aerosonde Technician to join our team. The Aerosonde Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of Aerosonde unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of these aircraft for various applications, including environmental monitoring, research, and surveillance.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on Aerosonde UAVs to ensure their airworthiness.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems of the aircraft.
  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks to verify the UAV's functionality and safety.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop and implement UAV modifications and upgrades.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of Aerosonde missions, including payload integration and testing.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and flight logs.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to minimize operational risks.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in aviation or a related field preferred.
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate or equivalent UAV operator's license.
  • Knowledge of Aerosonde UAV systems and components is a strong advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in UAV maintenance, repair, or operation is preferred.
  • Experience with other small UAV platforms may be considered.
Skills
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing UAV mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with ground control station software and UAV flight planning.
  • Strong understanding of aviation regulations and safety protocols.
  • Basic knowledge of data collection sensors and payloads.
  • Computer skills for data analysis and reporting.
