ABB Grain is seeking a dedicated and experienced Grain Operations Manager to oversee our grain handling and storage operations. As the Grain Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and transportation of grain products while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  1. Supervise and lead a team of grain handling and storage personnel.
  2. Oversee daily grain intake, drying, cleaning, and storage operations.
  3. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among all employees.
  4. Manage grain inventory levels and coordinate logistics for grain transportation.
  5. Collaborate with farmers and suppliers to coordinate grain deliveries and pickups.
  6. Monitor equipment maintenance and ensure all machinery is in optimal working condition.
  7. Implement and maintain quality control procedures to meet industry standards.
  8. Keep accurate records of grain transactions and inventory levels.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues or concerns promptly.
  10. Implement cost-effective strategies to optimize operations and maximize profitability.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Management, or a related field (preferred).
  2. Proven experience in grain handling and storage operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
  3. Strong knowledge of grain industry regulations and standards.
  4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  5. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  6. Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  7. Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  8. Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and grain management software.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in grain handling and storage operations.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role is highly desirable.
