Responsibilities
- Evaluate insurance applications and policy documents to determine coverage, risk, and pricing.
- Analyze data and financial reports to assess the potential risk associated with insurance policies.
- Collaborate with underwriters and actuarial teams to provide data-driven insights for policy decisions.
- Maintain and update insurance records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct research on industry trends, market conditions, and legal requirements affecting the insurance sector.
- Assist in the development of insurance products and strategies to meet market demands.
- Communicate effectively with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to address inquiries and provide solutions.
- Support claims processing by verifying policy details and assessing claim validity.
- Monitor and report on the financial performance of insurance portfolios.
- Stay updated on changes in insurance laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant insurance certification is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of insurance principles, regulations, and industry trends.
- Proficiency in data analysis and software tools such as Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in insurance analysis, underwriting, or a related field.
- Familiarity with insurance policy language and coverage terms.
- Experience in financial modeling and risk assessment.
- Knowledge of insurance software and databases is a plus.
