As a Food Service Manager at Compass Group, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality delivery of food services to our clients and customers. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the food service department, manage a team of dedicated staff, and uphold our commitment to excellence in food preparation, presentation, and customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the food service team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Plan and oversee food preparation, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to dietary requirements.
  • Develop and implement menus, considering customer preferences, nutritional guidelines, and budget constraints.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain smooth operations.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and customers, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
  • Analyze financial reports, manage budgets, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Implement sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in food service.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in food service management, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety certification.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and food service management software.
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in food service management.
  • Experience in managing diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in menu planning, cost control, and quality assurance.
